CN Group staff raise over €5,000 for MSF Ebola Appeal

The Ebola virus disease in West Africa is more serious and wide-spread than originally believed. This has been the largest outbreak of Ebola in history, with nearly 5,000 deaths to date according to the World Health Organisation. Medical facilities and health administrations in the three affected countries - Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone – and the rest of West Africa, are underfunded and poorly organised. They need urgent assistance if this Ebola outbreak is to be brought to an end.

Concerned about this problem, and the plight of so many people in West Africa, the employees of CN Group agreed to contribute a portion of their recently declared bonus to the Ebola fund of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF, known in English as Doctors Without Borders,) one of the leading organisations providing care for Ebola sufferers in West Africa. CN Group itself, undertook to match the staff contribution euro for euro.

In all, the employees gave 78,500 Czech crowns from their bonuses, the equivalent of €2,855. CN Group matched this amount and, in all, €5,710 has now been lodged to the Ebola account of MSF. CN Group is very proud of the generosity of its employees and the part they are playing in helping those in distress in other parts of the world.
