The CN Group is proud to announce that, in early December 2012, it
attained International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®)
accreditation to provide ISTQB foundation level training. Together with
the fact that all its testers are now ISTQB® Certified Testers
(Foundation Level), this marks another milestone in CN Group’s
continuing commitment to assuring the highest quality in the work it
delivers to its customers, and is the result of a three year process
started in 2009.
The ISTQB® was founded in November 2002 and is a not-for-profit association with the aim to continually improve and advance the software testing profession. The Board defined the "ISTQB® Certified Tester" scheme that has now become the world-wide leader in the certification of competences in software testing. CN Group is a committed supporter of the ISTQB® and, since August 2010, its QA Director, David Janota, has been a member of the Czech and Slovak Testing Board, which is one of 47 member boards worldwide represented on the ISTQB®.
Announcing the CN Group’s accreditation, David Janota said “We use ISTQB® foundation level training internally as the entry point for our new testers, as well as for aligning the dictionary and methodology of established testers, because such training contains important subjects all testers must master, such as basic terms, test process, how to design test cases, and so on. Customers want us to have this certification typically because they use it internally, and they want the QA approach of their organization, and that of their suppliers, to be fully aligned. So this is the exact added value CN Group brings – alignment with the rest of the world, receiving basic information about testing, passing the final exam.”
CN Group had its first encounter with ISTQB® through a project with Tatrabanka (the Slovak member of Raiffeisen Bank International) in June 2009, and had trained its first certified testers by August of that year. While this accreditation is an important milestone, it is only a step in the journey toward the highest quality.
